Financing Strategies in the “Turnaround”

A major contribution to crisis management

A prerequisite for company rehabilitation is an accurate analysis of the causes of crises – a measure of the intensity and epicenter of the crisis, the status of the balance sheet, P & L and liquidity – as well as the awareness of the elements of the financing strategy and their determining factors. Breaking through the crisis requires a careful selection and preparation of the solution concept. Professional consistency in implementation leads to the right way out.

Since November 2008 Dr. Eduard Zehetner has been CEO/CFO of Immoeast AG, and since February 2009 CEO/CFO of Immofinanz AG. Before that, he was a Member of the Board of Directors at RHI AG from 2001 to 2007. From 2000 until 2001 he was CEO of Jet2Web Internet Services GmbH, and from 1997 to 2000 was Managing Director of the Financial Department at Connect Austria. He began his professional career in 1976 as a research assistant at the Institute for Higher Studies in Vienna. His studies were completed at the Vienna University of Economics, where he graduated in 1978.

Private Equity

Opportunity for Austria as a business location

Austria’s companies need a solid capital base for stabilization and new growth. In this area, however, local farms are comparatively poorly equipped. It is therefore important to take advantage of the current market situation. Private equity as a financing instrument offers the opportunity to strengthen the entire Austrian economy as a central growth factor in the long term.

In 2016, Barbara Wösner Sandberg founded the private-equity firm BAST AG. Previously, from 1998 to 2001, she led the Marketing Department at the Raiffeisen Banking Group Upper Austria,  and was a member of the strategic planning team. In 2001 Wosner-Sandberg was Marketing Manager at the Vienna Stock Exchange. There, in 2002, she took over as head of Strategy, Marketing & Acquisition, and in 2005 as Head of International Alliances. In the same year she was appointed to the Executive Committee of the Vienna Stock Exchange. In 2005, following the acquisition the Budapest Stock Exchange, she moved onto the Board of Directors.
