Free competition as a prerequisite for the welfare state?

EU competition law protects not only corporations, but also the interests of SMEs and consumers. The participation of SMEs and consumers in the competition law could, however, actually enrich and change economic life.

Since 1975, Georg Zanger has been an independent lawyer in Vienna, with a focus on creative solutions for business enterprises. He is a lecturer in competition law, copyright and media law at the universities of Salzburg and Vienna, as well as lecturer at the University Course for Legal Informatics at the University of Vienna. In 2004 and 2005 Dr. Zanger completed international and European economic law studies at the University in St. Gallen, and received a Master of Business law degree.

Gregor Schonstein is the Head of Lobbying Division for ACCEDO Communications. He has been responsible for the establishment of customer relations for Hungary and Slovakia, the steering of international projects, and support of the ACCEDON network to the European institutions Commission, Council and Parliament. He served as Senior Consultant at Lang & Tomaschtik Communications, as well as Viktor Bauer Public Relations. Schonstein is the moderator and co-writer of the ORF X-Large, as well as an actor in ORF film productions and TV series. He founded the management club BizBoing Club.
