Klaus Woltron was born in Wels (Upper Austria). He studied metallurgy and enjoyed a career as engineer and manager, which led him to the top of internationally active corporations. Today, he is the owner of a stakeholding in Vienna with several subsidiaries, is a member of supervisory boards in Germany and abroad, and is the author of numerous articles in the press, radio and television, where he among other things pleaded for more ethics in the economy.

Woltron is the Managing Partner of MINAS Beteiligungs- und Management GmbH, and shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Advengys AG, Vienna. He is a Member of the Advisory Board of Arthur D. Little in Vienna, and a Member of the advisory board of the Chicago Climate Exchange in Chicago, USA.
