Microfinance – Ways out of Social Entropy

Why it is not a contradiction to be an investor and do good

Kofi Annan calls 2005 the year of the Microcredit with the words, “Microcredits are not a donation, they are a way for low-income households to have the same rights as us. This finally acknowledges that the poor of this world are the solution, and not the problem!”

As an asset manager and man, as a commuter between the (still) 1st and 3rd world, I represent why Kofi Annan, specifically about 2008, is right, and why the “global financial crisis is based on a perceptual distortion and why there is no contradiction between being n investor and at the same time doing good”.

Leopold Josef Seiler is Asset Manager and Managing Partner of Seiler Asset Management Vermögensverwaltung, founded in 1992. The focus of development of structured financial products is founded in capital-guaranteed models, the concept of fund portfolios in cooperation with the VPM and the quantitative yield/risk analysis of portfolios (specifically for domestic private foundation). After his law studies at the Prosperitas investment consulting, Seiler was entrusted international financial planning (placement of fund / portfolio management, Vienna Portfolio Management customer service).) He is a lecturer at the Danube University for Business Ethics.

Theme 2 | Andreas Reinisch

Responsibility – From just Fashionable to the Economy

Man and nature in the center of the economy

Responsibility – Change – Value Change: they are only words. What do they mean for companies in practice? Do we need a fully embracive state, or do we take our own responsibility? With the spiritual attitude of the last century, one can be challenged by the new globalized age. It requires a new entrepreneurial spirit! Human resources and nature must be in the center of the economy rather than values such as egoism, materialism and profit-making. We assume our grandparents’ responsibility!

Andreas Reinisch has focused in CSR-corporate social responsibility, science and spirituality since the sale of the Society for Advertising Material Distribution" (2001) which was founded by him. The Austrian Network Business Ethics and TRIGOS - the Austrian Award for CSR which  Renisch co-initiates, shows that ethics and economy can go hand in hand, and that this is the basis of economic success. He is active in Business Data Consulting GmbH, and in his own consultancy reinisch-RESPONSibility.

In 2001 Reinisch founded the Humans.Circle network with personalities from business, NPO's, NGO's, science, policy and media for events and as a forum with the motto "creative cordial connections." Future-oriented value strategies with "open mind & open heart" have been pursued since 2007 under the cooperation of the Open Minded & Humans.Circle networks.
